Point of Sale (POS)

The POS screen is where day-to-day selling happens.

Making a sale

  1. Search or scan a product into the cart (barcode scanning works via camera on mobile/tablet).
  2. Adjust quantity, apply a per-item or order-wide discount if needed.
  3. Pick a payment method — cash, bank transfer, JazzCash, EasyPaisa, or card.
  4. Take full or partial payment. Partial payments create a customer balance that shows up under Customers as an installment.
  5. Print or share the receipt.

Tax / GST

If the owner has turned on Tax/GST (see Settings), checkout shows a tax line calculated automatically from the shop's configured rate — right above the total. It can be switched off for one specific sale (e.g. a walk-in cash customer who doesn't need a tax invoice) without changing the shop-wide default. Each sale keeps a permanent record of the exact rate it was charged, so changing the rate later never rewrites old receipts.

Loyalty Points

If Loyalty/Rewards is enabled (see Settings), entering a returning customer's phone number shows their current points balance right in the customer search. If they have enough points, a Redeem Points field appears at checkout — whatever they redeem is deducted from the total as a discount. The system also shows a preview of how many new points this sale will earn them, and both the redeemed amount and the newly earned points print on the receipt.

Auto Print Receipt

If a thermal printer is connected to this specific device, turn on Auto Print Receipt (top of the POS screen) — every completed sale then prints itself automatically, no extra tap needed. This is a per-device setting, not shop-wide: a counter without a printer should just leave it off, and it won't affect any other counter.

Customer on a sale

Attach a customer's name and phone number to a sale to track their purchase history and any outstanding balance. Walk-in sales can be left as "Walk-in Customer." If your shop has Loyalty enabled, a phone number is all that's needed to start earning points, even without typing a name.

Branch tagging

If your shop has branches set up, a sale made from a branch-locked account (a salesman or manager assigned to a branch) is automatically tagged with that branch. A shop owner selling from the main dashboard can pick which branch a sale belongs to, or leave it shop-wide.

Editing and returns

Sales can be edited or have items returned after the fact, depending on what the logged-in staff member has been granted (see Staff & Permissions). Returned items go back into stock automatically.

Sales Reports

See Reports for daily/monthly sales breakdowns, and Branches for per-branch sales reporting.
